About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"You're no longer sitting at home waiting for life's moments to come to you. You're out, and you're going to the moments." -Ian McKaye

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty laid back, but I tend to look at things fairly analytically.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life or else life will live you.
Doing a little good is always better than doing nothing at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't yet, but I'm excited to start.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have zero experience right now. Looking forward to my first.

Interests

Generally, people, sports, food, and music. However, as a traveler, my interests are highly influenced by my location. What I mean by that is I tend to want to experience the most enjoyable or unique things about that location. For example, I don't eat much seafood, but when I went to Tokyo, I made it a point to have some good sushi.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music a lot. All kinds of different things. Going to shows is fun too.
I like movies, but don't watch many.
As an adult, I've only read a handful of books for fun. All of them about baseball. I know that sounds lame, but it has more to do with the fact that I'm a slow reader than anything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In terms of low probability events, the most amazing thing I've ever done was kick a volleyball into a basketball hoop from over 60 feet away the first 2 times I tried... I was 11 years old. Amazing. Everything since has been mundane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn how to more accurately judge how challenging traveling to a particular location will be for me.
I know how to do many things, but I guess I need to learn how to share them effectively in a space like this.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Denmark, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, United States
