About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living by the idea of each one teach one and trying to help making this world a better place.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Hamburg. My mother is from Rotterdam/Netherlands. My father is a refugee from Halle/formerly GDR. I have six brothers and two sisters. They are all very nice. Let's say I love my family.
When I was a small child I lived for a short period in Rotterdam and after it in Bad Bentheim, a place next to the dutch-german border. It is a nice place with a little castle. After school I did civilservice in some kind of orphange and I worked as construction worker.
Later I went to Worpswede to learn guitarbuilding at the place of Stephan Schlemper, a very nice guy and now frind of mine. In that time I lived in Bremen, a cool city. Afterwards I moved to Münster for my study. this city is beautiful even if the people there are a little mulish. Later I went to Namibia for a project with children - buliding their school. Back in Germany I lived in Münster again. In that time a frind and I also had a squat in Amsterdam, where we lived some month. A great and cazy experince. Later I was invited by a highschool in Enschede to come to the Netherlands again and work there as teacher. I still do this job and have great kids in my classes.
In my freetime I like t build guitars and play music. At the moment a frind and I started to build a homestudio. There we just finished our first studioproduction. You can hear the sound on: myspace.com/theraggingrootscollective.
I was always into music, so if you whant to listen to other projects watch: myspace.com/theurbanturbans or myspace.com/faanfrancesco.
Another hobby of mine is writing and I'm very proud to present my first book of poems this year.
Hopefully this is enough about me.
PHILOSOPHY
Take a flower for a flower and a smile for a smile.
This world is so beautiful, but why are we often too busy, that we don't take the time to look at it?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It is my first time that I try this, so it is all new for me. I am interested in learning about cultures and I can tell much about the cultures I have seen, because I like to learn much and that's why I always try to get in contact with the real people of the country I stay or visit. When there are any instruments in hte place, I can play music with the people (what I like much).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Till now I have no experience with CouchSurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
It's too much. I like things that inspire me and taht can be books, sounds, tunes, movies etc. At the moment I like Tom Waits, Neil Young and Bob Dylan very much, but I also like to listen to reggae, folk, worldmusic, rock and HipHop.
One of the latest movies that I liked very much, was the Persian movie "Nobody knows about persian cats" an all movies made by Fatih Akin.
My favourite writers at the moment are Dylan Thomas, Jeroen Brouwers, Multatuli, Tschingis Aitmatow, Hermann Hesse and Richard Brautigan, but there are many very good writers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first kiss was amazing. My parents are amazing and the wisdom of my grandmother is amazing too. It was great to be in the Namibdesert. Africa is very beautiful!!! I think when you look carefully every country has very beautiful sights. Oh yes, watching a Rhino mother with her child in the night was cool. A herd of elephants is so great to observe. Diving is amazing, the fish and plants unter water are like a place that isn't true. The latest amazing thing I saw. where flamingos here in the Netherlands. I thought it wasn't possible, but it was real.
Teach, Learn, Share
Each one teach one. I'm open for many things and I have much to tell. It's difficult to say something about this. The world is full of things I don't know. So there is much to learn.
