I am a Bay Area girl born and raised in Oakland who loves to travel and meet new people! I love learning about new cultures, good places to eat and see!
I work for a non- profit called Higher Ground (http://highergroundndc.com) which allows me to give back to my community by working with elementary school students in my neighborhood.

I am really excited to be a part of this community since I really love meeting new people and making new friends! And even better...make friends from all around the 🌎! I am on here to meet locals (who are also travelers) as well as other travelers while I am also traveling! I would also like to meet travelers while I'm in my city.
I would like to get a local experience when traveling and simply have the opportunity to make one, two, or a few new local friends when traveling because the next time I come back to see a city/state/country i will have the luxury of knowing someone in the place I am traveling and I can a friend to hang out with (which is really exciting). We can also exchange stories about the places we have been to and I always find it exciting to hear about people's journeys!

I love music! I really like hip hop, R&B, salsa (really enjoy Cuban salsa), bachata, Reggeton, Pop, Latin pop, along with many other genres. I would really enjoy sharing my music and learning about other music and artists that are out there since there is such an abundance of artists out there.

I love children's movies (believe it or not lol), action, and comedy. My favorites are (on the newer end) Coco, Ferdinand, Girls Trip (it was hilarious 😂), etc. There is too many to list, but I am definitely open to watching a movie 😃 either on DVD or in theaters.

I also love reading personal development books such as "Daring Greatly", urban fiction, reading about successful people, etc. If you have any books that you have read and could recommend I would be more than happy to add them to my reading list.
