Overview
About Me
After I finished school I have been working in India for a year in a music school.
Living in this completely different culture made my thoughts and believes turn 180°: I actually got to know what culture is and what it means in your all day life. I realized that a different culture does not only define if we shake or wobble our head to express a yes. Culture goes far beyond that engraving a set of values in us which can be extremely hard to understand for somebody from outside. It was a mindblowing experience to try to bridge this gap between two people - sometimes successfully and sometimes not at all.
After having tasted a completely different way of life, I came back to Germany to study Philosophy and Economics in Berlin and Bayreuth (small and unimportant town in southern Germany) for some years. Of course the wanderlust hit me back hard several times and finally made me come to Boston, MA, and Berkeley, CA, each for six months.
At the moment, I am happy to call Paris my new home for the next year. I was lucky to end up in the Cité Universitaire, a place 12000 students from all over the world. The place could not better summarize the dream of every global citizen: The world in one village. With this franc-international little space in Paris as my home-base, I am hoping to get to know as much of the rest of France as possible.
Interests
I started to play the Clarinet when I was ten and from then on Classical Music became the most important hobby of mine. Before I left for India I was participating in several big orchestras in Berlin. Music was the centre of my intrests. I love good food (Italian is best!) and good beer (Bayreuther is best!).

Music, Movies, and Books
I basically listen to Western classical music whereas the romantic epoch is probably my favourite. Apart of that really enjoy listening to good electronic music. The author I like the most is probably T.C. Boyle.
