Hello everyone! My name is Fabien and I grew up in the Swiss mountains in French-speaking Switzerland.

After finishing my education at university in Lausanne (during which time I was also working to save up some money), I am currently fulfilling my dream to take a gap year to travel the world :)

I started my trip with a one-way ticket to south-east Asia, and now I'm crossing the pacific to continue my travels to south America.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm new to this website but I already have some couchsurfing experience whith people I met during my travels. I think it's a great way to do real travelling by meeting local people and see beyond what the usual tourist can normally see of a country.

My home in Switzerland was always open to friends and friends'friends and I will be glad to continue hosting fellow travellers through this website when I will be back home in some times.

I know I don't have references for the moment so hopefully I can convince my future potential hosts that I am genuinely I nice (and trustful) person :)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Went I was 22 I went to Russia to study physics in russian without knowing the language (during a one year student exchange). I did not study much physics honestly, but I met so many people from all the planet (Europe, Asia, South-America) that it really opened my eyes and gave me a strong desire to travel and see the world.
