ABOUT ME

My name is Fabienne and I'm a German-Dutch girl studying medicine in Jena, Germany. I'm an open-minded, friendly and honest person who's interested in other people's opinions and thoughts. When I'm in a big group of people I don't know well, I can be quite shy, but after a while people are usually surprised about my lively and direct nature. I'm smiling a lot and I enjoy having a laugh in good company. The best compliment I've ever got was from my Canadian host dad who told me at the end of my exchange year during high school that I developed into a "social butterfly". I'm trying to keep this up by getting out of my comfort zone once in a while. I think that travelling and especially couchsurfing are perfect for that.

Since I'm currently spending my Erasmus in Gent , I'm very eager to discover new cafés/places/shops/.. in this fantastic city as well as other parts of Belgium.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is going to be alright in the end. And if it's not alright, then it's not yet the end.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host at the moment due to my tiny student apartment but I'm always happy to meet up for a drink or show you around in my new "hometown"! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was a spontaneous trip to Edinburgh with a friend of mine. We surfed a girl's couch for 2 days and had great fun going out with her and her friends.
So far I've only had very pleasant experiences with Couchsurfing and I'm definitely planning on hosting once I'm back in Germany.

Sports (Pilates, Running, Hiking). Dancing. Laughing. Being out of doors. Cooking with friends. French movies. Drinking wine on my balcony (that's in Germany, here in Belgium I'm drinking the yummy beers..). Going out. Discovering new places in a city. Simply having fun.
