Hello! I am Fabiola, 49 years old, living in Luxembourg since 2005.
I speak Italian, English, French, Spanish and some German.
My motivation to use Coachsurfing is meeting locals that could give me some hints in understanding and fully appreciating the place where they live.
Art is a passion to which I always dedicate too little time (I am not an expert!!!). I am thirsty to know more, to discover, to recognize, to understand. I admire everything is done with dedication and care.
It is also interesting to me observing human behaviours, learning new languages, finding connections with what I know and discovering new facets of things I give for granted and on which I probably never reasoned enough.
I enjoy movies, theatre, opera but also the nature. I like long walks and where I live there are a lot of forests to explore. I appreciate good food especially when I prepare it and I am curious about new tastes, new recipes, things that are uncommon to me.
I have a background in economics and several years of experience in private and public sector. I work in an international environment that benefits a lot of my energies and sometimes I simply need to recharge, to make space for new ideas, new people, new experiences.
This is why I like to travel. The discovery enriches me. Always.
Friends tell me I am a good communicator. I enjoy listening to people and to learn from them.
I am a no smoker, no drugs, no party animal.
For sure I enjoy company and healthy activities.
I am clean, ordered, respectful of differences and curious to understand and to learn from anybody.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I choose Couchsurfing because it gives me the possibility to connect with people in a real way. I use to travel alone but sharing enriches me.

Interests

My current interests vary from learning DIY activities (for example: how to unblock obstructed sinks ) to understanding how to tame our or others wrong attitudes (for example: how to react elegantly to someone rude).
I enjoy listening to different versions of the same story, so that I can build my own one, without relying too much on others' versions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music depends on the mood. So the range of my taste is wide, from Rachmaninov to lady Gaga.
About movies, I love the black and white ones, usually dramas, but also thrillers and comedies.
I am passionate about self development books.
