ABOUT ME

I'm Fabrizio and I'm a blues musician. I play harmonica, bass and dobro guitar and other instruments, creating new ones from junk stuff. That's my show: a One Man Band. You can see me often playing in pubs, venues, or above all in the streets. I study double bass at conservatory and philosophy at the university. I like painting, comic-making and experimenting new kinds of artistic expression.
I usually go out busking, especially when we travel. If you are a musician, I'll be glad to play together.

PHILOSOPHY

Universe has a balance: whatever you do, it has a consequence, whether good or bad. In Physics, it's the principle of conservation of energy; in life, it's Dharma. So, we better do good things, 'cause Karma is on the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Even if my cs profile is still young, I've been using couchsurfing for 4 years, with a shared account. I met here a lot of great people - some of them got real friends of mine, and this is wonderful.

Interests

Music (blues, rock, funk, soul, jazz, country, roots... yeah, but labels are limiting, you know), philosophy (above all the Oriental side: Zen, Buddhism, Taoism, knowledge of India, meditation...), art & comics (Dalì, A. Pazienza, Magritte, surrealism), books, movies, art exhibitions, et cetera cetera cetera. Oh! And cooking, my most recent passion. So relaxing. And delicious.

Music, Movies, and Books

I fell in love with the hard-edged noir feeling of John Fante's characters... And spent my childhood floating into the utopyc science-fiction universe of Asimov, Bradbury, and filling up his dreams with surrealism pills. We recently can add Joe R. Lansdale (Hap & Leonard novels), Philip K. Dick, and not to forget Hermann Hesse, and lots of childhood classics (Tolkien).

I do believe in Teach & Learn CouchSurfing. What can I teach: music, harmonica, slide guitar, bass / double bass, cooking Italian dishes, and... I don't know, whatever you can get from me.
