Working on all continents withing two years as a Designer.

ABOUT ME

I am a Design-Journeyman from Germany.
In short this means that I am traveling the world, stopping in different countries and cities to work for photographers, design agencies and architects.

The special thing about my travels is that I don't draw any salary.
Based on the medieval German journeyman-tradition for craftsmen, I am working for food and accommodation, whether it's a room in a guesthouse or just a couch at a private place.

Since my journey began I have climbed 30m high bamboo structures as an architect while re-designing the ancient British buildings at the Bund, one of Shanghai’s prime commercial locations. I have shaken the hands of various ministers and other high- ranking politicians as the international Ambassador for the Kuala Lumpur Design Week and traveled thousands of kilometers through India to get to a place called Jaaga, where I created the framework for a vertical garden system. I have been smuggled into Alexandria’s free-trade zone to design a new corporate identity for DeBirs Yachts, one of the leading yacht shipyards in the Mediterranean and worked along-side top-notch African photographers to create the biggest African photography festival in Addis Abba, Ethiopia. I just left India where I created a non-profit organization to find and support young photography talents and curating the Wira Foto Fest in Kuala Lumpur at the moment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I left my appartment for my 2 year Design-Journey and will move to Berlin next year where I will open my new appartment to other travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surprisingly (after being sceptical) a real blast.

I bought a traditional longboat in north eastern laos from an old fisherman with two other travelers and paddled down the river through the jungle for 4 days.

I am giving workshops all around the world in creative techniques like Photography and Graphic Design. I would love to do that wherever I get a couch.
