About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world, meet new people, and most importantly have fun doing it.
ABOUT ME
My name is Andy, and the most interesting thing about me is I used to play basketball professionally in Switzerland and Australia. I love the game and also love that it gave me an opportunity to travel. I am very relaxed and easy to talk to and get along with. I only really speak English well. I have been trying to learn French since having been in Switzerland, so I can speak it brokenly, and took Spanish in high school, but have always struggled with foreign languages. I think my brain is more suited to math. I majored in Engineering at the University of Virginia, where I also played basketball, and had a great time.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life, have fun, and be open to new experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing experience of my life was playing in the NCAA tournament in 2007. Was the culmination of a lot of hard work and very lucky to reach that high a level. One of the most thrilling things I've done was swim with sharks while I was in Australia. My roommate worked as a shark trainer and had the opportunity to swim in the tank with them which was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've had the opportunity to travel some, so can talk about those experiences. I think everyone is unique and has there own special stories to tell and advice on life and would love the chance to share as well as learn from others through CouchSurfing.
