Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've rented an apartment in Dee Why because my previous one was sold. I'm wondering if there's somewhere I could stay in the meantime while the apartment is being prepared to be released.

The reason why I'm not asking anybody to rent short-term is that I don't want to finance the Sydney underground industry of renting. Most people charge a higher market value to rent for students or people who will stay for a short time in Sydney, and I'm not comfortable with that.

I've got the car and traveled from Sydney to Canberra. Canberra to Culcairns. Culcairns to Albury. Albury to Melbourne. Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road. From the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne again. Used some Airbnb to stay for the weekend. From Melbourne to Alexandra. From Alexandra to Mount Buller when it was having snow showers. From Mt Buller to Warburton and Mount Donna Buang. From Warburton to Paynesville and the Raymond Island. From Raymond Island to Mallacoota. From Mallacoota to Eden and Moruya. From Moruya to Jervis Bay and Sydney.

The travel has taken 12 days total.
