About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have a blast on my three week trip to Europe to see MUSE!

ABOUT ME

Hi!

I'm Jen.

I work for a fantastic bar management company in downtown Chicago, and I do all the in-bar graphic design and marketing for the company.

I love music, and I've spent the last 10+ years of my life working off and on for various local and national bands. Marketing, promotions, merch slinger, gear loader, you name it I've done it and loved every minute of it.

I play more video games that 99% of the girls I know. I'm a VERY proud owner of a Playstation3, and it's hard for me to even acknowledge that my roommate has an Xbox360. I play a lot of Half-Life, Resident Evil 5 and Fallout 3, but my favorite game is Bioshock (and yes, I'm stupidly excited for the second one to come out in February). There's a picture in my profile of my Little Sister tattoo, if that's any indication!

I run a Rock Band night at one of the bars in our company too! We have a ridiculous amount of songs in our database (and the sweet $300 custom drum kit, which I usually take my frustrations out on), and while it can be a very tiring job trying to show drunk people how to play, it's also my favorite night of the week. I mean come on, I get paid to sit in a bar and play video games :)

One of my goals in life is to see a concert in every US state, at least 5 major cities in Canada, the UK, 5 other countries in Europe, Australia and Japan. I'm about to go see Muse in Hamburg, Glasgow and London, so that will take care of a few of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm pretty new to the whole couch surfing thing (I've only had 2 surfers at my apartment so far), but I'm looking to experience my first overseas CS'ing soon!
