I'm a small man from the big mountains high up in the Himalayas. I have grown up in different parts of the Himalayas and mainland India. As of now, I live in Bremen (North Germany) studying Earth and Environmental science, economics and social sciences at Jacobs University.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I was Khavochey for my family as I grew up. Khavochey in Ladakhi(my mother-tongue) refers to a person who asks too many questions. I always asked too many questions because I'm always curious! Curiosity motivated me to do good in school but that knowledge was basically useless(if you know what I mean). It was that when I turned away from that traditional mode of learning. I turned to people, that was the road less taken that changed my life(Meet up with me to know how😉).
Studying in a university is a humbling experience, first of all, you realize that you don't know anything about the major you chose, thinking you were a genius😅. Then you get to know about all these fields you knew nothing about. It's a humbling experience because you realize the width and depth of knowledge that's out there in the world and that you can't possibly absorb all of that in a human lifetime. With that realization, I once again turn to humans to be exposed to fields and perspectives I know nothing about(but want to know all about). I want to go around travel as far to as many places as I can, to meet new people, to meet you who are reading this right now.

Cycled all the way up to the highest motorable road (5300m+)-2 times actually.
Got lost in the mountains at the altitude of 4000m-definitely, not a position you want to find yourself in.
