ABOUT ME

I'm an engineer working on large wind turbines. Used to do physics. I chopped off these dreads on the picture, so I turned into a constructive, hard working member of society, apparently.

Apart from that, I'm interested in all sorts of things like music, such as bop and electronica, literature, and documentary film making. I tend to enjoy quasi- or nonquasi-intellectual discussions, but if I got the time, I'm also in for proper parties.

PHILOSOPHY

Mmm personal philosophies tend to become a bit silly, especially looking back after a few years. I think mine is generally just see what crosses your path, imitate the best examples around you and in doing so, you will feel which way is the best to continue. I try helping people if asked.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Might be able to host people, and if I have time and energy I'd love to show you around a bit. Staying at my place and entertaining yourself is also an option. Mail me last moment since I don't plan in advance, and take into account that I'd be working 9-5.30 during week days..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some people stayed at my place, couchsurfing and other. Experiences with all kinds of backpackers have usually been positive on my side. I hope to get the chance to meet more couchsurfing-like people in the future!

Music, listening as well as playing, sailing increasingly, traveling decreasingly, history, literature, film, all of wikipedia, photography, monetary history, art, alternatives we can think of for resource allocation besides banks, windmolens, mankind :)

Literature: Dostojevski, Jerofejev, Houellebecq, Kundera, Hermans, Mulisch. I like films too, arthouse but not too boring, and documentaries such as Ivens' 30's work. Music: jazz, some minimal, old dubstep, 60's in due time, etc. etc.

Nice feature, this one! I'd like to say that one cannot simultaneously know the speed and the position of any particle with infinite certainty. Or in formula, delta-x * delta-v > h / 4*pi, where h is Planck's constant. Nor can one simultaneously, infinitely certain know the angular momentum in x and y direction of any particle.
