I am an adventurer currently living in hipper than thou Portland, Oregon. My first career was as a writer for some 30 years; now I'm a teacher, sort of. Pretty much retired although I still have my hand in a few pots.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just don't want to do what I don't want to do anymore. Rather than retired, I feel like I've returned to my free and easy hippie days when I just did what appealed to me. Go with the flow!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having been a hippie in my 20s, I spent a lot of time informally couchsurfing. Now I guess you'd call me an aging hipster who never wants to grow up if that means settling down.
