About Me

ABOUT ME

I’m a travel enthusiast, filmmaker and dreamer who was born and raised on Sweden’s west coast but currently live in Oslo, Norway. I like adventure packed activities like kitesurfing, skiing and climbing, but also coziness like reading, piano playing, cooking vegetarian food and hanging out with loved ones. I’m also all into politics, human rights issues and feminism, along with existential talks about life, death, psychology, emotions and everything I can't understand or find answers to. I'm very curious of human behaviour and always try to understand different kinds of perspectives, why I'm often not the most active person in discussions but rather the one who listens, observes and asks questions.

After graduating from The Norwegian Film School in 2018 I moved to Oslo to begin my professional life as a film director. I often make films on themes such as norms, structural power and privilege. I'm actually developing a feature length film based on my couchsurfing travels in Australia as a 20-year-old. If you have any exciting, memorable or weird couchsurfing experiences, I would love to hear about them for inspiration!

I long for the rest of the world, and when not travelling myself I would love to let other people and cultures over my doorstep. Please don't send random friend requests, though - just write me if you want to make contact and we'll take it from there, or send a cs request if you want to stay with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has to be one of the absolutely greatest ways to travel and to meet new people. It's a cultural exchange, a way to gain perspective on the world, and to experience the hidden pearls of every city, every country. It's also a way to pay forward everything that generous couchsurfers have given to you, by hosting people visiting your own country.

I've been taken on a crocodile safari on the Daintree River in a small boat in the dark, I've slept in a park in Sydney under the stars and watched an opera together with twenty other couchsurfers, I've taken part in a private surf party in a beach house, I've spent days at a beautiful riverside out in the middle of nowhere, I've been taken on a roadtrip to wineyards and chocolate factories, I've drunk tea and eaten fantastic cookies in a beautiful apartment with a beautiful person, and overall I've had endless interesting discussions at different places with different people about life, death, dreams and future. If that isn't amazing, I don't know what is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Playing with and teaching some of the children living in Nong Khai, Northeastern Thailand, as a volunteer. Trusting a stranger with my life and jumping out of a plane together with him and a parachute. Drinking kava and listening to the peaceful guitar playing and beautiful voices of the Fijian people. Eating fresh Moroccan food on a roof top in Essaouira's Old Town. Kitesurfing and hanging out with locals at the Mombasa coast in Kenya. Slowly swimming and watching the life around me eighteen meters under the surface of the water, with my breath as the only audible sound. Or just skiing down the hills of the Alps in newly fallen powder snow - my choice of drug, definately.
