HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, we 're in Tana, Madagascar, so we can host other surfers, offer advice and warm tea... And in september, we'll be travelling the USA, clockwise starting from New York, and so we'll be needing places to park our RV, advice, and mostly we want to meet people so as to discover THEIR USA

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

friends of friends, colleagues, we have had quite a few people at home, sometimes great moments, with people who knew how to share without being heavy weights on your daily lives, and, well...
I remember the young woman who had locked the door from the inside, so I couldn't get home, and in the middle of the night I had to climb to her window and pound like a mad woman until she heard me...
One last story? In Tana, there are often water cuts. This one time, we had a guest who had opened the tap, but not closed it again, as there was no water coming out... At four in the morning, I heard a very pleasant sound of waterfall. As there is no waterfall near our house, I realised it could mean trouble... Indeed, after two steps in the dark, my feet met water. The water had, obviously, come back, had run out of the sink, into the bathroom, the corridor, the living room and my bedroom. At six, I was still moping, when my guest came down from his room, barely looking at me, and asking if there was some coffee ready. There wasn't. He didn't make any.
