I believe that one`s life has its limitation. We are usually restricted in a certain environment or a certain way of thinking. Traveling is a simple way to get out of the normal life by just moving to a different place. But in order to see the full colorfulness of the life, we need to listen to the stories of people from different backgrounds. What is more interesting than traveling itself is the relationship and friendship we develop through it. Couchsurfing is a good place to meet local friend during the travel.
