Hi! I'm Jonas from Leipzig, Germany.

I grew up in that beautiful town called Leipzig. Kind of a Little-Paris Goethe said. I'm very openminded and communicative person who likes to meet other people and see what is going on in our world!

In September 2014 I started my journey of new and great experiences and spent some months in Ireland. There I worked at a farm for some weeks by Wwoofing, later on I went to Galway to work in a hostel for two month until the end of the year.
At my days off and my free time I visited a lot of places of the Irish countryside to hike in mountains. I really love to visit and see beautiful landscapes. So I was very happy to be there - that trips gave me a good time exploring things I've never seen before.

I yet visited also the Canaries, Scotland, Greece, a bit of Hungary and lots of Cities like Prague, London, Paris, some cities and places in Austria and Germany. So.. the world is still a big place and I am looking forward to see old and new places. There is still a lot to explore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couchsurfing experience I made in 2011. Since then I did stay few times and felt it a good way to connect with people in different places. Its a good way to get to know a place from locals perspective and to spend time together.

Interests

First of all - I love nature! I love being surrounded by it and listening to nature sounds.

Also meeting nice people, listen their stories and traveling!
The way to think about life and see what life brings to me and my folks and friends by changing from the boring way of doing things (like sitting there and watching tv all the day) to a more lively and playful way is a great thing. We can take advantage of the opportunity and let ourselves be inspired. I like that very much to have a good and enjoyable life to be happy and fine most days.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pillars of the Earth, Dan Brown Books, such and way more.

Movies: Oh there a lot of different movies I like. Kinda british humor I like very much. Edgar Wright, Matthew Vaughn, and many more but I'm not just limited to british cinema
Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter are some nice ones.

Music: Lot of different kinds. 70s and 80s Rock Music, 80s Charts, even sometimes 90s pop if I get really crazy. Film Soundtracks, some Singer-Songwriter, Irish Folk and then there's a lot of electronic music I listen to. Technoid, (psy-)trance, ambient, etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This travel to Ireland I started in September '14 was the greatest and most amazing thing I did in my lifetime. So many doors of the way of my life I opened by doing this and so many lovely people I met.. This is an amazing thing for me. I love this feeling to be free to travel and to share experiences and other stuff with people I like.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to teach the german language on my way, on the practical way since grammar is often not easy understandable and also me having some issues with german grammar from time to time.
An amazing thing I love is cooking. I don't have special cooking skills but I love to cook on a experimental way to fit my feeling and improve myself on here. I can share this with you or we share together! :)

I'm addicted in listening the sounds of different music instruments. I cant play any instrument but to learn guitar and mandolin for example some day will be great.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of experiences I made at my journey through Ireland. I love also to cook and go out to see landscapes, nice places in cities and like to spend time with nice people.
