About Me

Hi, I’m Farhan from Mumbai.

I work in IT, but my real passion is traveling and exploring the world. I love meeting people from different cultures, hearing their stories, and seeing places through the eyes of locals. For me, travel is not just about ticking places off a list , it’s about the people you meet along the way.

A few years ago I backpacked in the US and had some amazing Couchsurfing experiences. One of my favorite memories was cycling around San Francisco with a host who later visited me in Mumbai. Experiences like that are the reason I love this community.

When I travel, I enjoy simple things like walking around cities, trying local street food, random conversations with strangers, and sometimes a bit of adventure. I’m always curious about how people live in different parts of the world.

If you’re visiting Mumbai, I’d be happy to show you some of the city beyond the typical tourist spots ,
good street food, interesting neighborhoods, and maybe introduce you to some of my friends.

I’m an easygoing person, respectful of people’s space and culture, and always happy to share stories over tea or coffee.

Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and making new friends around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me Couchsurfing is about people more than places. Hotels are comfortable but they never give you the real experience of a city. Through Couchsurfing I’ve had some of my best travel memories, long conversations, exploring cities with locals, and friendships that continue even after the trip.

I like the idea that strangers from different parts of the world can meet, share stories, and trust each other. It makes the world feel smaller and more connected.

When I travel, I enjoy learning how locals actually live, where they eat, where they hang out, and the small things tourists usually miss. Couchsurfing makes that possible.

(I’m mainly here for the travel, stories, and friendships… but if Couchsurfing accidentally introduces me to my future adventure partner for life, I definitely won’t complain😁)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m always happy to share travel stories, especially from my backpacking trip in the US and other places I’ve visited.

If you come to Mumbai, I can show you some good street food spots, take you around interesting parts of the city, and introduce you to my friends so you can experience the local vibe.

I also enjoy conversations about travel, culture, life experiences, and sometimes even business or tech since I come from an IT background.

Mostly, I just enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories.
