ABOUT ME

I moved back from Spain to my hometown in Minnesota this summer-I was summoned by a wedding and decided to stay to work on family relations and my finances. I recently started working in sort of a group home setting. I am desperate for a dog, I miss my puppy (Amaranta) in Spain very much. I love the summer on the North Shore, its the most beautiful place I've been. I have recently re-discovered canoeing and am determined to plan a boundary waters trip soon. I love to bake but also cook these days and am enjoying the summer offerings of fresh fruit and vegetables. I am trying to care for forty tomato plants in the backyard. And I am still trying to learn more about wine!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have recently discovered Barbara Kingsolver and I love love love her! I also like musicals, old and new, though I think old movies are usually a million times better than what they come out with nowadays. My guilty pleasure: anything vampire, such as the Twilight series or Buffy the vampire slayer. Shameful, juvenile,yes, but so much fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked through Patagonia, hanging out with penguins and watching glaciers crumble. It was cool-and cold.
