About Me

Hello, my name is Fatih. I'm 36 years old and I live in Cappadocia, Türkiye. I'm a freelance digital content creator (travel writer). I'm also a digital marketer and search engine optimization consultant for brands.

My friends say that I am friendly, easy going and funny. I love meeting new people and making friends. I like to see new places, new food, new people, new cultures.

I try to show respect to everyone regardless of their nationality, religion, or culture. I like to talk about different topics. I am quite talkative when I meet one or two new people, but if there is a large group, I prefer to stay quiet and enjoy listening to what they are saying. I like sharing my experiences with others and learning about theirs.

I like to travel and discover new places. My country is big and I've already seen all the regions of my country.

Current mission: To visit every country in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and learn about countries and their traditions and cultures.

I try to participate as much as I can. I always try to host people, even if it's a last minute request. I prefer being a CS guest to staying in a hostel to learn more about the local culture and meet new people. I try to attend CS weekly meetings in every city I can.

I've had a good amount of CS experience in a short amount of time, and all of them have been not just good, but great. I have hosted, surfed, and met a number of locals in my city. I have made a number of friends through CS and every single one of them is so nice.

Interests

The list is very long. Almost every new thing interests me, but my biggest interest is traveling, new places, new people, and new cultures.

Living my life and seeing the world and getting to know other cultures. Traveling to remote places and learning about different ways of living. At the same time; travel writing, travel photography, travel videos, trekking, meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly I listen to classic and Latin pop music. And mostly I watch movies about nature and traveling.

Movies: Motocycle Diaries, Into the Wild, The Way, Seven Years in Tibet, Wild, Before Sunrise, Eat-Pray-Love, Midnight in Paris, The Bucket List, Everest...

Books: All books by Charles Bukowski...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is not a big deal for most people on CS, but since I come from a country where many people do not prefer to travel to other countries, and even if they do travel, they prefer to travel with a group of friends, it is an achievement for me that I have traveled alone to many countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you online marketing skills, stock and bitcoin technical analysis, and the Turkish language.

I will want to learn any sport from you, your native language, and any special skill you have.

We can share about our cultures and life experiences especially on being a traveler.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- a fun CS experience
- a safe and comfortable place to stay
- Towels/sheets
- Shower
- Washing machine
- be tidy
- Put on shoes in the bathroom
- Share our experience
- Wi-Fi and Computers
- ...
