My husband (Les) and I have taken a break from working to travel and explore. We are now in Eastern Europe and working our way west. The plan is to keep going until the funds run out.

I am a pretty happy person. I love animals, live music, rocks, puns, food, and hiking. That all sounds pretty generic.... and everyone likes point form so here's 3 random facts about me:
1. In grade 7 camp, I won an award for "Most Mosquito Bites".
2. I liked Archie Comics so much, I got a tattoo of Jughead's crown.
3. I love McDonald's cheeseburgers.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people. Traveling is fun but the experiences shared with people along the way make it so much more memorable. It's cheesy but true.

I am interested in a lot of things. It changes regularly. Currently I'm interested in trying new food and learning how to say hello and thank you in different languages. I have a terrible memory though.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love all kinds of music. Everyone says that though, right? I listen to folky music with tambourines or a horn section the most. My all-time favourite musicians would have to be Ani DiFranco, Cat Stevens, and Elvis.

I have terrible taste in movies. I love Christmas movies, romantic comedies, any action film, or any feel-good story.

I read whatever looks best from the free book shelf. Currently that is 'Quicksilver' by Neal Stephenson.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I had a summer job as a field assistant in Yukon, Canada (northern Canada). It was just 2 of us for weeks at a time in the middle of nowhere. It was both beautiful and challenging.
