About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to move to Berlin in next 18 months and explore as many continental European cities as I can

ABOUT ME

I'm new to couch surfing so I guess this is where I recommend myself. I wholeheartedly recommend me, I'm lovely. Ask my husband or my cat!

I'm very expressive and personable with a big heart but a cynical head. When I like someone I am extremely kind and caring and fiercely loyal. I love my friends like family. I like to think that I am quite an interesting person with lots to contribute. I can be a bit of a music snob sometimes but I don't let that get in the way if I really like someone. I especially enjoy spending time people that are a bit alternative and don't follow the herd in life and really respect individuality.

I love organising stuff and my friends tend to leave everything up to me which suits me as I can have things my own way. I am considerate and attentive. I have a dirty mind and am not afraid of speaking it, so if you are very easily offended then perhaps we shouldn't be friends! But do give me a try otherwise.

PHILOSOPHY

Be completely true to yourself, never compromise in love or career and keep an open mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to this but I would like to meet likeminded people and show them around the parts of Liverpool that I love. When abroad it would be lovely to be shown around the non-touristy places.

I can now offer a bed in Liverpool in a nice area sometimes.

Interests

I love exploring and meeting new people and finding new places to become beloved old places.

I love music, especially electronica and dancing in dirty warehouses. I like hipster bars and cafes and vintage stuff - so cliched now I know but I liked them first - honest. When I'm travelling I find myself hunting out obscure places and trying lots of local beers and wine. I also like food and cooking, especially cooking for others.

I go swimming lots and cycle everywhere when at home; it's become an obsession. My bike is vintage and very pretty. I studied international politics at uni and like being able to rant at people about the injustices in the world. When I visit a new place I tend to research the history and try and find evidence of it when I travel around.

I work for a refugee charity and really enjoy it despite the poor money.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its a bit small scale but I had the most wonderful wedding on a farm which resembled a festival. One of the most amazing moments of my life was leading a lantern procession of 100 people that me and my husband love most in the down a country lane holding a wicker sculpture which we set fire to in a field.
