About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover the least touristy attractions everywhere I go

ABOUT ME

I love meeting people from different places, and that's the main reason why I travel. I have lived in Brazil for most of my life, in Germany for a year and have been in U.S. for a little over a year now. The best way to get to know a city or town is by getting to know the people who live there. I learn languages to be able to communicate with people around the world their own way. I have worked with international education for many years while living in Brazil and since I moved to the U.S. I volunteer at the Fort Collins International Center, a nonprofit that peomotes activities to integrate exchange students and their families in the community. I just love anything international!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First you take a bus for 5 hours, then another bus for maybe 2. Then you go on a muddy trail in the rainforest for say, another hour, carring backpack, food, your tent, repelent, and all your camping gear. Oh yeah, and you are a smoker. And humidity is about 100%. You hike through lush green vegetation and every now and again you catch a glimpse of the water. When you are there, there's no warm showers, no electricity, or even the need for shoes. But who needs all that stuff when you are at a beach called Praia do Sono?
