About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm a PhD student researching the medieval history of Christianity in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa
ABOUT ME
I'm a PhD student at Yale, studying the ancient and medieval histories of Christianity outside of Europe. Most of my current research is on Syriac and Arabic Christianity in the Middle East and Central Asia, but I've also studied medieval Christianity in China, India, Ethiopia, and North Africa. I have secret side interests in raising goats, arguing with bishops, and hanging out with nuns. When (if?) I grow up, I hope to become an Anglican nun myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel pretty extensively during the summers, and am always grateful for hospitality received along the way.I am always happy to welcome visitors to New Haven. We're not much of a tourist destination, so if you're coming here, it's probably to see Yale--maybe as a prospective student or for a conference or something. I can show people around campus and answer questions, and I sometimes have a couch available. New Haven is pretty easy to navigate, but as long as I'm available then I'm happy to meet people at the bus/train station and walk with you from there to campus.
