Sobre Mim

I learned how to swear and how to complain about stuff in my native northern Italy countryside farmhouses-filled reactionary province, and all (/most of) the few fancy pseudo-intellectual words I know in Venice and Florence. Currently a PhD candidate in architecture, after a master's degree in history of art and after attending accounting school. I don't really know what's going on with my life.

According to the millennial university-guy stereotype, I enjoy music (I play many instruments and I'm good at none), art, movies, books, all in a way that seems cool to me and boring to everybody else*. Other passions include: sad kind of memes, wasting time, mold patterns, earning money without efforts, the smell of chemicals, vacuum cleaners and wearing tracksuits without performing any sport. I also like film photography, and I have my own dark room to develop films and print pictures (sounds like a pretty bourgeois thing to say but it's not). Since I'm writing this embarrassing biography for Couchsurfing, I also feel compelled to say "I really love travelling! :) :) :)".
*Just joking it doesn't seem cool to me either

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I use Couchsurfing to widen the boundaries of my own physical and mental world. Getting to know a place implies much more than simply travelling. I think that platforms like Couchsurfing stretch beyond "conventional" tourism, providing a totally immersive experience (very trite sentence). The only way to fully understand a place is to get in touch with its people, and its couches. Confrontation is the only way to refute (or perhaps confirm) cliches and prejudices; it might be a good or bad experience, but it's always a positive one. Therefore, it's the only experience truly worth making. This was a pretty serious paragraph to write.
