Hi!!! I'm Federico and I'm from Rome, Italy. I study/work at the university, I play the guitar in a band and I love to travel :) Besides other stuff, I'm a scout and I love to be immersed in nature! Also, I like to cook - and to eat :)
I can be very shy and for this reason I get embarassed, but I loosen up quite easily!
As I'm travelling with my girlfriend, she'll add something about her (cringe): I'm currently unemployed as I just graduated a month ago; but leaving that aside: I'm outgoing, very curious and I really like to chat...I smile a lot (also when I'm embarassed, sorry) and I also laugh a lot, sometimes too much I guess hahahah
I can speak English, French (I lived in Brittany for two months), and I can refresh some German (it's been four years now that I don't speak it anymore unfortunately). And of course Italian!
Maybe everything else is superficial to add now: I guess if it's meant to be, we'll get to know each other better :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend Debora and I both received an Interrail pass as a graduation gift...so we are soon leaving to explore Northern Europe, and we would really enjoy getting to know new people by being hosted! We're nice, clean and funny, I swear! :)
We decided not to open two profiles for now since neither of us got hosted before, so we cannot really have references! On the other hand, we get it that it's kind of a leap in the dark to host two people without any reference, so we thought that, if you'd like to see more about us or get a better grasp of our personalities, you can check our Instagram profiles :)

For now, our plan is to start around the end of August from Copenhagen and go northward: Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo and Bergen are the other destinations that we thought of. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of money to spend, so I guess our plan is more or less flexible, according to whatever cheap accomodation (or kind hosts) we can find!

We don't really want to exclusively stay in the cities, on the contrary we would like to explore more of the natural landscape of the countries we're going to visit. As previously written, we're also not really organized so we're up to changes of plan if some of you suggest something that we should really not miss :)

We really like the idea of getting to know people that experience life in the countries that we visit, so that we can talk, chat, discover some authentic and real stuff about these countries. I guess couchsurfing is one of the best options to travel like this, isn't it? :)

Music, Movies, and Books

We're both very passionate about all kinds of arts, especially about books. In fact, I graduated in modern philology with a thesis on a 1200 Italian poet and Debora graduated in English-speaking literature with a thesis on the American dream and how it changed (if it still exists). We both love music too: as said before, I play the guitar in a band, Debora plays it too and she's very passionate about music, no particular genre but everything that can speak to the heart! :)

We're currently at the end of season 8 Game of Thrones... we can talk and nerd about it a lot if you want :) Personally, I'm not really into TV series but Debora is a lot hahahah and we both enjoy a chill night and a good movie!

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything!!!! Both of us are very passionate about discovering new things, and sharing the things we know with others! I could talk a lot about medieval poetry, building shelters and making knots (I am a scout), share my music to get some feedback (always useful)... Debora is a good listener and quite chatty and curious, she will ask a lot of questions! Ah, and we can cook good Italian dishes for you!!
Also, we're always very curious and open about other cultures, their history, their traditions, their language...we'd love to listen to you talk about this!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We'd love a good movie night, or a boardgames night, or a beer out; also cooking dishes (maybe Italian, and you could share your favourite traditional - or not - dishes!)... we love to hike! Debora says nothing too difficult though because she gets all of the energy out of enthusiasm and zero training (her own words! -don't trust her-). Actually, we get excited about a lot of different stuff, it's easy to hang out hahahah you will not be third wheeling!!!
