Hello to all!

I'm from Melbourne, Australia, however am on a quest to travel and study cities and regions all around the world. Work and life for me is totally intertwined, as I am constantly reading and thinking about how we need to change our approach to planning and developing cities on a human scale.

In this sense, I am ever out and about looking at public life, public space, transport, arts and culture, environmental management (yes I am not a regular tourist when I visit most places and see their waste management systems!) and everything that makes a city function and tick.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing for me is a growing part of the shared economy that just makes plain sense - humans are here to interact and learn from each other. I am eager to meet and learn from as many people from as many backgrounds as possible. The buzz you get from great conversations and shared experiences is priceless, and it is something we miss out on so much!

Right now I cannot reach out to offer a place (as I don't have one!), but one day when I'm settled again I will pay it back!

Interests

Being active and out and about! Hiking, running, swimming in fresh, open water, yoga, walking endlessly to discover new things, adventures, skiing. The list goes on, but basically I see everyday as a new chance to do something, to enjoy the simple things like moving, experiencing and engaging with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music varies from mood to mood - I am influenced by people around me and situations.

Right now I'm into deep house, I cannot get enough, even at breakfast!

But constantly travelling, I'd say I'm listening to about 10 albums a week, it's pretty sweet at the moment :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Given up all my formal jobs this year to travel and explore cities, doing my own, on the ground research - very much a full time job now!
