I was born and raised in the boonies of Alaska (Kenny Lake) in a log house, 38 acres of hay, and nothing but mountains as my backdrop. I am the youngest of six kids and have seen how impacted each of them have been in traveling (Africa, UAE, Philippines, Australia, Europe, etc.). I know there is so much to learn from a culture that is different than my own and hope to be placed in situations were I can humbly learn, connect to those who are different than me, and grow in my own experiences. I love meeting new people, trying funky foods, and delighting in the simplicity of life (nature, kittens, and cookie dough of course). I am very active (hiking, Volleyball, Spikeball, ultimate Frisbee, swing dancing, and swimming). I am goofy, cheery, and spontaneous, but I also love deep philosophical/religious conversation (should the opportunity present itself) and being organized. I am pursuing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at University of Utah (US) May 2019-2022 and am always going to be taking trips here and there as a stress reliever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hospitality is a gift I do not take lightly. I know that there will be a time in my life where I will have a room to spare and would love to have travelers relax with little financial strive. At this point in my life I am approaching grad school to become a PT and am tight on a budget. Traveling is almost as important to me as my future education, because there are things to be learned abroad and outside of my comfort zone that cannot be taught in a classroom. I am very approachable and adaptable when it comes to sleeping on floors, couches, or luxuriously in a bed. I am very low maintenance and know that I will come away with some incredible connections because of this.
