ABOUT ME

Hey! I am a Uruguayan traveller, currently working and travelling in New Zealand, saving money for a big trip to Asia! :D

I love travelling and discovering new places, but I think that the most wonderful thing about travelling is all the people you meet.
So, how could I miss on the chance to travel around the world staying with locals, and to welcome travellers in my place when I am back in Uruguay? And all of that for free! I would deffinitelly pay for that! (Future hosts, please take the last sentence as a joke)

Besides travelling, I love playing and listening to music (I play guitar, piano, and I try to sing), reading, surfing (not just couches, waves too!), cooking, and doing outdoors activities such as hiking, rafting, sailing, etc.
Regarding sports, I am not a big fan of ball games (I like to watch football, but I can't play it) but I am really into extreme sports. I am an adrenaline junkie, so if you need someone to jump from somewhere with or anything like that I am your guy.
I also love animals and water sports, and trying new food!

Back at home, I just finished school and decided to take a year off for travelling, but when I come back I will get into Uni to study physics.

I'm not sure if you could say that I have a specific personal philosophy... I guess I just try to enjoy and take the most of every situation, since I believe that there is something good in every moment, place or person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new at this! I hope I can get in touch with other people from CS in New Zealand as soon as I can. I am already joining groups and signing up for activities! I am going to travel around in SE Asia in a few months, and I would love to use CouchSurfing as a way to meet new people! As soon as I come back to Uruguay (Feb 2013) I will be ready to welcome people in my house!

Interessen

Well, as I said I love music. I've been playing the guitar for seven years, and I also play some piano. I started singing a couple of years ago when I joined a choir in my city, and I really enjoy it.
I also love surfing and other water sports. Any outdoors activity will be my cup of tea, and I really enjoy camping, fishing and hunting (only if you are going to eat it, though!) hiking and all that big etcetera.
Reading is another one of my passions, and I enjoy all sorts of books.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: Lots of stuff... I've been through many phases (classic rock, heavy metal, reaggae, jazz, ska, indie, etc) I may not listen to all of those styles as much as I used to, but I certainly still like them! Above all, though, I am a hardcore Beatles fan!
Books: Again, lots of stuff... From science fiction and authors like Asimov, Orwell an Huxley to mystery novels
by Agatha Christie and Arthur Connan Doyle, passing through The Lord of the Rings, Hermann Hesse, Kafka and Harry Potter.
Films: Depending on the mood... I will watch pretty much anything!

Hmmm... I guess that surfing in Puerto Escondido, in Mexico, and watching at the stars in Cabo Polonio, Uruguay!

I think we always learn a lot from the people we meet...but if I had to put it down to a certain skill, I am always happy to give some guitar lessons!
