Hi, I'm a 19 year old guy from Australia, travelling South America for the last four months of my free year. I'm looking for real adventure, to meet people with interesting stories, share my own, and really live. Because we don't always do that.

I went to a small school in the countryside in south eastern Victoria, and lived on a 5 Hectare Permaculture farm there. I was paralized by the idea of deciding on which part of myself to develop at University, so I took a year out. I moved to the city for something different and spent some time working in a vegetarian restaurant, turning backyards into gardens and renovating houses.

Turns out putting your life on hold doesn't actually work, and I don't know what to study now either, I just know you have to live now, keep doing new things and developing the things you love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never used couchsurfing before, but I hope it will be a great way to get to know places and their people. I don't want to spend the whole time on my computer looking for places to go, I would rather meet people and talk. Maybe it will allow a more free flowing journey, that I discover as I go.

Interests

I like to read, talk, listen to and play music, and create. Whether it is food, gardens, or songs.

I'm interested in humans and our place in the world. Philosophy and sustainability, religions and landscapes. How to live best, for ourselves and everyone else is a constant question that becomes more complex the more I learn.

Part of that is to sometimes forget it all and have fun, just be. A good night out is never a bad thing.

I love being outside in nature and experiencing different landscapes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking and halfway up the Australian coast in June and camping wherever on the way. The freedom of being able to decide what you wanted to do at any point in the day was amazing. As is a 4 hour conversation with someone who you have never met, will never meet again and would never have spoken to otherwise.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some things about about music, sustainability,philosophical ideas, gardening. I can share books, music, cooking, a meal, a perspective or a cup of tea.

Also I am very keen to develop my Spanish and am more than happy to help with English, or just to stumble along in a mix of both languages.
