Overview
About Me
I am a German transplant that ended up living in Vermont, USA after years of traveling and living all over the world.
I carved out a pretty sweet pioneer/homesteading life for myself on a piece of land that I own near the cute and positively weird town of Brattleboro VT. And currently I'm building a beautiful house for myself.
A few things I'm very much into: socializing (barbecue or cookout nights, game nights, parties, meeting friends at the local swimming holes, ...)! Hiking, ice skating, playing pool (I have my own table), and of course traveling and meeting people from all over the place. People describe me as very positive, goofy and upbeat.
I am an extremely curious, interested and adventurous person.
Try this weird food? Absolutely!
Hike that mountain over there? Hell yeah!
What about this cave here? Got my headlamp...let's go!
Meet you, your family and friends? Yes yes - a thousand times yes!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to bypass the so often (but not always) capitalist system and lets us connect with amazing people, make friends and learn in a much more fun way than other avenues. And all of that with no money involved. What's not to like about it?!
I had such beautiful encounters staying with lots great people and cannot wait to finally be able to host other travelers in my heavenly little woodsy paradise.
Interests
What it essentially comes down to is to spend my life with people I connect with. It doesn't really matter all that much where that happens or what I'm doing at the moment. It's all about people. Great conversations, being goofy and laughing together, sharing beauty together. Those are my real interests. Everything else is bonus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a true/literal couchsurfing adventure. A friend and I built a raft together in Whitehorse, Yukon territory, out of trash and stuff we found (including a couch) and ...well...couchsurfed 500 miles down the Yukon River to Dawson City.
Teach, Learn, Share
I built my own strawbale house. I'm sure that process had some lessons that could be extracted for teaching purposes.
I also make a dank mouse au chocolate. Or any baked goods for that matter. Currently I'm in a tiramisu phase.
Right now I'm building my second house which I could actually use a lot of help with.
