About Me

First of all, new to the Couchsurfing experience, I will try my best to let you know what kind of person and traveller I am !

I am a curious, funny, passionate and a very social person. I love history, politics, great talks and mostly learning from other people. Discovering new places and cultures is something that motivates me a lot. I enjoy meeting people who are also passionate about whatever subject they like and I think travelling is a good way to encounter those kind of people. Being inspired and inspiring those that I meet while travelling is a plus value for me!

I am from Québec, Canada, also known as the French part of the country. So, I speak French (1st language) and English (2nd language). I also speak a little of Spanish and these days I'm trying Russian. I grew up in a small town near Québec City and I also studied there by doing a Bachelor in Political Science at Université Laval. I now moved in Montréal where I am doing my Master also in Political Science (Thesis).

The reason why I am travelling around Eastern Europe right now is because I am doing a semester in Lublin at John Paul II Catholic University. No classes, just doing field work in Pridnestrovia / Moldova!

I describe myself leaning on the Left of the political spectrum, but I am an very open minded person and I'm passionate about subjects like; Québec/Canada politics (minorities), unrecognized states, tourism, state symbols, forestry, and many other things !

So, I'm looking forward meeting you !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As said earlier, I am doing a semester abroad in Poland, but I will be travelling around much to learn Eastern European cultures and languages.

I travelled in Europe in 2015, but my first experience eastward was in 2018 and I enjoyed it a lot. So, using Couchsurfing for this second experience in Eastern Europe is a unique challenge which I'm looking forward to; I want to meet incredible people whom can teach me how they see the world and Couchsurfing is clearly the perfect spot to do that!

Already looking forward this great experience!

Interests

Basically, I like to talk and listen about anything; learning is what I'm good at! So, we can walk around the city, listen to music, etc. Also, I enjoy tea and coffee, so if you have great places, I will take it!

Teach, Learn, Share

Surely, I would like to share my experiences and knowledge, but it's also very important to learn from my host. A good connection is a must!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make you learn French and English, history, any political subject and even forestry techniques ;)

Also, I have a weird passion for brutalist / soviet architecture. So, again, if you know any good spot, I'm up!
