Loves travelling but only recently able to do so more frequently. Enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Prefer to meet locals when travelling and vice versa as I believe this is the best way to get to the the people and the places.

PHILOSOPHY

To teach, to share and hopefully impart the essence of wisdom, ethics, tolerance, fighting for a good cause to young minds.

Have hosted one family from Germany and had dinner with a traveller from Poland.

Books - History e.g.The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon; Memoirs e.g. A Griefed Observed by C.S.Lewis; modern fiction e.g. The Executioner's Song by Norman Mailer.

Have seen abject poverty in China but also the resilience these people have to survive but most of all through the hardships they are able to smile and welcome strangers with open arms and share what little they have.
