Hi! I'm Josh!

I'm 20 years old and I live in London, UK.

So, some things about me! I have a huge range of interests ranging from running, socialising, going to events (especially concerts), and travelling the world is something I wish to do throughout my life!

I recently travelled to Japan and just before, I began to learn Japanese. I am now able to communicate in structured Japanese and it came in handy when I was there. It took a lot of time to learn but it sure was worth it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After I had my first hostel experience, I realised that they were going to be the best places for me to stay on my travels for one, being affordable and two, getting to meet lots of new people with such a wide variety of cultures and stories to tell.

I was once struggling to find places to stay once and my friend recommended this website. I joined, started to look around and it opened so many doors!

I love the whole aspect that you can find so many lovely people on here willing to offer a bed (or a couch) to sleep on whilst exploring the world. I can't wait to begin my journeys!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite bands are Paramore, As It Is, Panic! At The Disco, Dua Lipa, The Killers, Neck Deep and so many more! My music taste is extremely wide

Favourite movies have to be anything Marvel or DC.

Some of my favourite books are the Hunger Games series and Harry Potter series. I like to read gripping books with some action that makes you want to read more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have skydived at 18,000ft at the Skydive Space Centre in Orlando, Florida. It's the worlds highest tandem skydive! It was a spontaneous thing that I'd only thought of doing last minute. I wasn't too nervous until my legs were swinging out of a tiny plane at such a height but it was the most thrilling and amazing experience of my entire life (so far). On the free fall, we flew over the Kennedy Space Centre launchpad!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am fully English, so I could teach my host or fellow surfers some useful phrases in English should it not be their first language, may find it difficult, or not know any English!

I think that would be a wonderful way to bond, as well as potentially them teaching me some useful phrases!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am passionate about sharing my music taste with others. Introducing new music, and maybe convincing them to come along to an event with me!

I can also share my experiences and stories about my travels.
