About Me
Hello! I'm Femke and I'm currently studying in Vancouver. I'm in my third year of my bachelor and having a great time on my exchange minor there. In general I'm very active and especially in Canada I've gone on a lot of hikes and have surfed a bit. In my free time I love to hang out with friends, go outside or watch movies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to meet new people through this platform and see another side of a culture and lifestyle in a more authentic way. Aside from that, the inside knowledge that local hosts can provide is in my eyes unmatched by any other form of traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
In general I listen to a lot of jazz, funk, groove and neo-soul. Concerts, festivals and just live music are always on my agenda. My favorite movie is The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and my favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was working at a hostel in Panama I climbed to the highest point of the country, on top of Volcano Barú. It wasn't your usual hike though, since we did it during the night with a starting time of 11:45 pm. This way we got to see the sunrise in a way not many people have. It was a great bonding moment and definitely amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
In general I would like to share my Dutch culture and experiences from my travels and current exchange. I love to cook and would be happy to provide some amazing meals. I'm an open-minded, social and energetic person and am always down for fun and spontaneous activities. Overall I would be happy to help with general maintenance, animals, kids and little tasks in and out of the house as an exchange for the generosity of the host.
