Sobre mí

In short, I am a 36 year young Dutchy who studied Social Work and International Tourism Managament & Consultancy (focus on sustainability). For 5,5 years I have been working as a travel consultant organising fieldtrips in Europe. In 2017 I started travelling from Costa Rica to Sao Paulo. After 9 months I returned to the Netherlands where I managed a Yoga school for 7 months. In addition I've completed a 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training and several specializations according to this. Currently I am working as a freelancer / digital nomad and living in Ubatuba, Brazil.

My main interests are travelling, lots of food and cooking (food travel), sports (yoga and surfing), nature, music and design. This is a lot, I guess versatility makes my life exiting! Just enjoying life is very important to me. Live by the day.... Besides, at all times I like and want to take care of people and the world, making it a better place.

Música, películas y libros

Music wise: in all genres I can find myself. One for the party, one for the house, one for the beach ;). Each place/ocasion its fit. The same actually for books, it really depends on the mood I am in but I like books from for example Paulo Coehlo...

Algo increíble que he hecho

Numerous things to mention but what touches me the most while travelling is spontaneous conversations with strangers and unexpected nice gestures from strangers. The effort they sometimes put in helping you. In this harsh world I appreciate this so much, it is very valuable and special for me. I never take that for granted. Couchsurfing does add to this...

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I believe by just sharing what you know you already might inspire one. You don't have to push your opinion, if it is the right fit, by just telling your story, it will get there. And better listen to what the other has to share. You can keep repeating what you already know (meaning you talk all the time), but better open up and see what others have to tell. The richer you become in life... A new perspective on things or just anything new to you, whether it is a skill or knowledge.... that is what a real natural exchange is about!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Company in whatever you are up to when I arrive. Besides visiting certain sites/places, that is why I am into couchsurfing. Seeing your normal daily routines, typical things to the place/country and have a good conversation/laugh while doing so!
