I am 20 years old and come from the Netherlands. I am currently studying law in New Orleans as an exchange student. After my semester here I am going to travel to the east coast of the United States and the east of Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and get to know their city a little bit better. Since I am traveling alone I hope that hosts can give me fun insights about their city, tell me all the good places to go to or even go with me to show them to me.

Interests

I love to travel and meet new people, go out with friends for some beers or just watch series at home. I also play soccer and like hiking in the woods. I am really interested in the cosmos and everything that has to do with it. I also really like to improve my knowledge about psychology and neurology (I took some courses at my university in Utrecht). I like to discuss politics and get new insights from different people. I also really like going out eating and go to bars.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of different music, like pop, rock, hiphop and electronic music. Some artists I like are Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Parra for Cuva, Claptone, Eminem, The Fray, Chris Brown, Kings of Leon.

A few of my favorite movies are Saving Private Ryan, V for Vendetta, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Carribean. Some series I watch are Orange is the New Black, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Narcos, Sense 8 and many more.

Some books I read recently are from the authors Harlan Coban (detective) and John Grisham (legal thrillers). The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is still one of my favorites. I also really like Suzanne Collins - Hunger Games.

I can teach you to learn Dutch, play soccer, card games or basic legal principles of the Netherland or United States, but I'm not sure if someone would want that :)
