Overview
About Me
I am a bit of a polymath, interested in everything from ornithology to geology, attachment theory to railway journeys, global history to surfing etc. I have three grown up daughters and one ridiculously adorable grand son. I have thus far had a rich and varied life and am delighted to share from this.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I relish making real and alive connections with my fellow human beings - in my experience 'no one gets a free ride' in this life and that sharing our challenges as well as our successes is the juice of enriching connection. I would like to connect with people living their lives as well as fellow travellers.
I have modest means and couch surfing seems like a way for exchange that is richer than merely monetary.

Music, Movies, and Books
Embarrassed to admit that self-help and psychology books are my favourites. Current favourite is a book called Attached.
TV series like Six Feet Under, Parenthood, Just Call Saul, GOT, Gilmore Girls (is that embarrassing), Malcom in the Middle.
Music taste is pretty eclectic but tends to return to folk and singer/songwriter music from the 60's onwards.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have stood on streets holding signs like "I need a hug" and "You are beautiful".
