ABOUT ME

I think I put most of it in the ´interest´ category. Fact is that I would love to see the whole world, get at least a glimpse of everything that´s happening everywhere besides just at my own little house.

PHILOSOPHY

You didn´t choose to get born, better make something out of it but don´t shut your eyes for things you think you couldn´t cope with. It´s just not easy all the time, but that is where ´good friends´ come in.

Interests

A big part of my life is labeled ´music´. Playing in various bands on bass (lawn.nl), guitar/keys (tillypelhead.nl, plastic-halo.nl) and drums I´m on the road a lot and if not I´ll be attending concerts or jamsessions in my hometown. But there´s definitely a lot more than music in life, and for me that is things like good philosophical talks about life and if there´s no conclusion just forget about it and have fun. Mostly starting with the latter one. Furthermore I´m a freelance journalist for magazines like Music Maker, interviewing people and writing articles. I don´t like staying at home for more than a short period of time. There is so much to do!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is really broad (like it should be). I can appreciate almost everything but got a tendency towards 60´s/70´s music like Pink Floyd, newer progressive stuff, bubblegum-pop, polka, musician-music like Steve Vai, shoegazing death metal, disco/ funk, campfire songs, industrial loveballads.. whatever.

In books I found a new love called Russian literature, and the movies I watch could be anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being on the twin towers, photographed with a plane in the air back in 1997? Or getting a sneak preview of the filmbussiness in L.A., working on a movie over there? Or just the view from the Martinitower in Groningen, come and check it out ;)
