关于我
Hi! I am Fernanda. I am a TEFL student in Chile, and I'm currently doing an exchange during one semester at the University of Essex where I decided to study French, Italian and other subjects.
I always dreamt about travelling abroad, and I finally made my dream come true. I'm currently living at Colchester, but I'm planning to visit other places while I'm here.
I consider myself an outgoing and friendly person; I always try to see the positive side of every situation :) I've been vegetarian for 3 years and that is something I'm really proud of.
I love learning languages! My mother tongue is Spanish; I am proficient in English, and I just started to learn French and Italian.
I'm really interested in the history of the places I visit and that is why I enjoy so much going to museums. I think that is one of my favourite things to do when I'm in a new place.
My last host told me that in order to avoid guys who use couchsurfing as tinder, i should let the people know i have a boyfriend. I think is unbelievable that i have to say this. It seems that some men show more respect to other men rather than to women.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I started to use this app a couple of years ago (2016) because I wanted to host people to practice my English and to know more about other countries, and know their experiences as travellers since, eventually, I wanted to the same too.
I had excellent experiences as a host and now I want to have more experiences as a guest. I would like to share a bit of my culture and know more about yours. I've always thought that the best way to know a place is by sharing with the people who live there.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Last year I decided to go to San Pedro de Atacama, the aridest desert in the world, and to live there for a couple of months. When I arrived there, I found a place to sleep, and I immediately started working as a waitress in a Restaurant, I never worked as a waitress before, and I really enjoyed it.
After two months, I decided to work as a bilingual tour guide; I had to study a lot since plenty of facts are important, and people demand to know them.
I met beautiful places, great people and I made great friends. I would definitely like to come back.
教,学,和分享
I am studying to become a teacher of English in secondary school, so teaching is one of the things I like the most.
I'm open to learning about different places.
I found an interesting way to learn about other people and share it with the world. Check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUDp9eRRz0s&list=PLpAXu6WEam3QarMcdkpr65BmAPIOixKhp

I live with my parents, I also have a cat and three dogs (my cat lives/sleeps inside the house).
We are a warm family who wants to share with people from other cultures. Hopefully, with someone who speaks Spanish, since I'm the only one at home who speak English, and I want my family to share with my guests too.
I have a small room to offer to my guests that has a sofa bed, so I can only host ONE traveller.
Hopefully, if I'm not busy, I'll show you my city and some landscapes.
