关于我
Hi! I'm Fernando, a 20-year-old Mexican Systems Engineering student with a curious mind and an open heart. I love learning new things and sharing what I know, whether it’s a useful skill, a good story, or just a fun conversation. One of my goals is to learn how to play the piano, and I’m always excited to share my culture, especially through traditional Mexican food and customs.
I’m a bit introverted by nature, but once I feel comfortable, I become the most outgoing person in the room! I enjoy playing video games (especially shooters and racing games like Mario Kart) and I’m passionate about discovering how people live in other parts of the world. I believe the best way to truly experience a place is to live like a local and connect with real people.
Although I haven’t traveled solo yet, I’ve visited some amazing places in Mexico with my family, like Cancún, Cabo San Lucas, Guanajuato, and Guadalajara. Now, I'm eager to start building my own adventures. Couchsurfing, for me, is more than just a way to find a place to stay, it's an opportunity to share, learn, and grow. I’d love to learn about your way of life, your local traditions, and even pick up a few words in your language. And if you’re curious about Spanish, I’d be happy to teach you!
One of my biggest dreams is to travel more often, work abroad, and maybe even live in another country for a while. Places like London, Romania, Estonia, and Ireland are high on my list. Someday, I’d also love to have a family of my own.
I can’t host at the moment as I live with my parents, but I’d be more than happy to meet up, show you around, or share a good chat. Hope we cross paths soon!
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that the best part of traveling isn’t the landmarks or the souvenirs, it’s the people you meet along the way. I want to experience what it’s really like to live in a place, not just visit it. And what better way to do that than by connecting with locals, sharing stories, and learning about their way of life?
As someone just starting to travel more independently, I’m excited to build genuine connections, learn about new cultures firsthand, and share a piece of my own in return. I don’t just want a place to stay, I want to share meals, laughter, languages, and perspectives.
I truly believe Couchsurfing is a space where people can help each other grow, and that’s something I want to be a part of.
兴趣
I’m really into anything that brings people together: traditional board games, storytelling nights, watching movies, or just sharing a good laugh over a home-cooked meal. I also enjoy playing video games (especially racing or shooter games), learning about different cultures, and exploring local customs.
As a Systems Engineering student, I love talking about technology, computer science, and how tech can improve our lives, but I’m just as interested in listening to people’s life stories, travel experiences, or random fun facts about their countries.
For me, the best part of traveling (or hosting) is the human connection, those little moments where you truly learn something from someone new.

音乐、电影和书籍
Music:
I enjoy a mix of everything, from Big Time Rush and Ed Sheeran to Avicii, ODESZA, and Kygo. I’m a big fan of house and electro, but I also love classic Mexican artists like José José, Alejandro Fernández, Juan Gabriel, and José Luis Perales. Music that connects with emotions always gets me.
Movies:
One movie that really touched me was The Wild Robot (Dreamworks one), but I also love family films in general, as well as action-packed stories like John Wick or magical adventures like Harry Potter.
Books:
Right now, I’m slowly making my way through the Harry Potter series. It’s taking me more time than I’d like, but I’m enjoying the journey.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I’m just getting started with my travel journey, so I wouldn’t say I’ve done anything extraordinary, yet. But one thing I’m really excited about is participating in a volunteer program with Worldwide Friends. It’ll be my first time volunteering abroad, and I see it as a chance to grow, connect with others, and challenge myself in new ways.
Aside from that, some of the most amazing things I’ve experienced have been simple moments, like sharing traditional celebrations with family, or traveling by myself for first time.
I believe amazing things don’t always need to be big, they just need to change you a little.

Teach:
I’d be happy to teach you some Spanish, especially Mexican slang or useful expressions for travelers. I can also share a bit about computer science or basic tech tips if you’re curious. And if you enjoy gaming, I’d love to introduce you to some fun titles or challenge you to a Mario Kart race!
Learn:
I’m eager to learn about how people live around the world, their daily routines, their traditions, and even the little things that make life unique in each place. I’d love to pick up some words in your native language, try traditional food, or even learn how to dance or play a local game.
Share:
I really enjoy walking and just spending time together, whether it’s singing along the way, talking about what we see, or simply enjoying the moment in silence. I also love watching movies and sharing everyday moments without feeling pressured to constantly talk.
Sometimes the best connection comes from just being present.
And of course, I’m always happy to share a bit of Mexico, our food, our stories, and our way of life.
我可以与沙发主分享些什么
First and foremost, I always aim to be a respectful and clean guest. I’ll treat your home with care, as if it were my own.
If you're curious about Mexican food, I can prepare a simple traditional dish, maybe some tacos, a homemade salsa, or a casual breakfast like chilaquiles. I’d also be happy to share my native language; I can help you practice Spanish or translate something if needed.
Besides that, I’m pretty good with technology, so I can lend a hand with basic tech issues, like setting up devices, helping with apps, or solving small computer problems. And if you ever feel like going for a walk, watching a movie, or just chatting about life, I’ll be there with an open mind and good energy.
I may still be new to traveling, but I always bring curiosity, gratitude, and a genuine desire to give something back.
"Every person you meet is a doorway to a world you’ve never known."
Let’s share a little of our worlds together.
