ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm 21 years old, from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I am a very friendly and lively person who tries to make who is around me happy as well. I also like to meet people from another places and learn as much as I can from them. I am very curious about different cultures and in 2010 I made my first trip abroad (spent one month doing a summer course in a Research Institute in Israel), and since I stepped outside Brazil for the first time I knew that I'd like to travel like that as often as I can. Now I just moved to the UK, where I'll be living for one year, as an exchange student in a uni. I am a pharmacy student very interested in research and science related subjects. In my free time, I usually go out with friends, whatever the program is. I truly believe that life is too short to be spend in just one place. That's why I love travelling, and that's why I am at CouchSurfing. Nice to meet you all!

Interests

About my interests, I love music! Specially the old rock and roll, like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, till Beatles, Ac/Dc, Led, to some recent ones, like Foo Fighters, Strokes, etc.
Apart from rock, I do also love jazz. Always when I can I try to go to some concerts and see live performances, which for me are always very exciting, too.

I also love astronomy! I could spend a whole night with a telescope looking for stars and constelations in the sky!

During the week, when I'm not at classes I'm usually working in a lab. As a future profissional of health, I wish I can do something to improve people's lives. Thus, since my first year at uni I work with some research projects in the microbiology area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the full moon rising from the Dead Sea.
I had the opportunity to see Stonehenge, one of the places I wanted to see before I die! ahaha
I spent one night under the open sky in a desert, with just lights from the stars.
