ABOUT ME

I am a 31 year old Performance artist. My work is both experimental and traditional at times as i sing with harpsichords and viola da gamba's. My art is varied and i like this as it is always different. My work is experimental in form and tackles identity with a focus on gender, sexuality and national identity within an Australian context. I am interested in how being a migrant in Australia shapes your identity and how artistic practice, music and popular culture influence the makings of our identities. I try to have a sense of humor about it. You can get an idea as to what interests me on my blog.

I was born in Chile but raised in Australia. I am currently about to take another journey to New York, Berlin, Santiago and Lima.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this and embarking on a life changing adventure. I plan to relocate to Sydney Australia in which then i can offer a couch. The plan is to travel the world, go back to Chile after 15 years come back to Melbourne and start a new life in Sydney, New South Wales.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was great. I loved it. He was the perfect host and we hung out and gave each other the space we each needed to be ourselves and to hang out and have a good time. We went to galleries and long walks had coffee and drank beer and ate and saw the city. I think these are the moments you cherish the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Entered small private remote Australian indigenous communities and been there as the local tribes opened their homes to let the spirits back in so that families could move back in after the homes had been left vacant after a deceased family members death. Beautiful and enchanting and special. Hung out in The Hamptons, Disco danced in Central Park.

Teach, Learn, Share

Its never too late to follow your heart to new places. I have always stayed put and it wasn't till recent events that i opened my heart to travel and to learn from new people and places in order to learn about myself and my place in the world. We can learn so much from each other in even the smallest exchanges and in the biggest laughs. I think travel allows you to become a better person.
