About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveler, there is not path, we make it as we walk

ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Fernando, I'm a 26 year-old argentinian who believes that personal growth comes hand in hand with the excange of ideas and experiences with people, especially when traveling. If you want to know what I've studied, I have a law degree specialized in human rights and criminal law (sounds ways fancier that what it is). The reason why I've studied law if for me to be able to make a difference with my work, so this is why I donate my work as a lawer to a NGO that takes care about the cultural diversity in Buenos Aires, giving free legal advise to independent artists and cultural centers and also to organizations that work for gender equality. This is one of the things I love doing, but also you need a job in order to live, and thinking in a way to combine the love that I have for traveling, wondering around cities and telling stories I became a Free Walking Tour guide where I live, being able to tell the history of the the other ones that travel so far to the south to visit and for trying to help the to understand the complexities of BA and improove the experience, by sharing tips and recomendations for that. This job I started it after my first couchsurfing experience, where I learnt that there's not a better way to get to know a place than being showned around and helped by locals.

This year I'm going to be traveling around europe again to some cities I never been and I've always wanted like Berlin or Prague but also i have a train ticket that can take me anywhere so I decided to try my luck again with my couchsurfing experience to try to make this one another trip of a life time! . Any tip, recomendation, beer and couch will be well recieved!

PHILOSOPHY

Schroginder's cat. Basicaly when you have an oportunity two paths open in front of you, if you let it go you'll wonder all your life what would have happened, if you do you'll know it. Teach trough the example, be coherent between what you say and what you do. Commit in the things you like, live your life to be happy no for other ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cortazar, Camus, Garcia Marquez, Fogwil, Foucault to name a few. Big fan of the doors, zeppeling, pink floyd and jazz. Films? I don't know, a lot of the work of woody allen and hitchkock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won a 250 millon potential people race and fertilized and egg. That I think is really impressive.

I also used to work as a volunteer in a school, were I had a kid that suffered hemiplegia. A lot of the kids of their age ( around 10/11) dind't liked to hang with him, let him aside and made his condition a difficulty in order of him to be a part of it. So i worked hard all year long about integration, discrimination, values and helping the one you had next to you. At the end of the year I saw every kid hugging him, helping him to move around, making jokes between each other and making him one more of the group. Since then they all become a group of realy close friends ( they are 16 at the time).I think is one of the most amazing things i've helped to achive.
