To travel a lot while researching for my dissertation

ABOUT ME

I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil and moved to Florida in the US when I was in high school, so I am a bit of Brazilian and American both (if Florida can be considered part of the US). I now go to grad school in Austin, TX - a wonderful place to live in. Currently I am working on field research for my dissertation, which is taking me to DC, Miami, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Manaus, London and Berlin.

I am a outdoor lover all around - hiking, camping, swimming, scuba diving. I also love photography, and can often be found in the woods carrying a tripod and gear. Another one of my more recent hobbies is homebrewing, and I have enjoyed making beer for about a year now. I am also a pilot, and although I haven't flown much recently, I like to rent a little Cessna and take it out for a ride with friends.
