About Me

Hi! I'm originally from Northern California, but have many more places I’ve called home over the years. I love to read, write, swim, and meet new people- I've also been to ALMOST every state in the USA. I enjoy writing quite a bit and hope to publish a book some day. Until then, I’m enjoying the adventures as they come. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new and interesting people. Couchsurfing allows for a more local, insider experience that staying in hostels can’t entirely capture. While I do enjoy a hostel outing or a game night amongst varying cultures and accents, sometimes it’s preferable to live like a local. I really do love the cultural exchange that Couchsurfing provides and that’s not something you can really find anywhere else!

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical taste is quite varied, but mostly I rotate through a playlist of Twenty-One Pilots, Panic! At the Disco, Billie Eilish, Frank Turner, and the Hamilton Soundtrack...
My fave movies are Howl’s Moving Castle and Stardust- both are FAR better than the novels they’re based on, in my opinion.
Lastly, my favorite book series’s is Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab, but I love all sorts of dark fantasy/world building novels. (Shoutout to Harry Potter, which was probably the original series that got me hooked on this type of writing!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent five months volunteering with Girl Scouts & Guides at Sangam World Centre in Pune, India.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some basic phrases in Hindi, French, & Spanish, but I’m especially happy to help with your English if it’s not your first language! I’m not the world’s best cook, but I will happily bake you all sorts of yummy treats if you wish, as well as share stories, laughter, and hopefully friendship!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll gladly bake goodies for you, (regular, veg, or vegan, at your request!) give book recommendations, trade travel stories, or explore the city with you! I’m usually very flexible when it comes to visiting a new place! Plus, if you have a dog, I will personally become your pup's best friend.
