ABOUT ME

I'm just a normal girl in my twenties who doesn't know what happens next and who doesn't really care! I prefer to live in the moment than thinking too much about tomorrow. I love to travel and to meet people. I like to walk in a city that i don't know and try to understand how it works. I like to observe people in the streets or places and try to get what it means to live there.
I just finished my masters degree in Lille (north of France) in artistic management. I worked for a circus festival, for a theatre troupe in production. I had to travel for work, going to the north of France, to Paris, to Belgium.
I just got back from a trip to Sweden. I went in different places in Sweden to work as a wwoofer, in organic farms for about 2 months. It was a very great experience and i couchsurfered a few times this autumn. I discovered Scandinavia while hicking, working in the countryside, picking mushrooms in the colourful forest, but i also went to the great cities of Malmö, Göteborg, Stockholm. Aaannd i discovered sauna and i really loved it!
I grew up in a family who love the sea, boats, drinking and singing sailors songs while telling sailors stories! Sorry for that, it happens that i sing sailors songs sometimes!

Now i found a job near Rennes in a circus festival for 6 months, so i decided to live in a houseshare and to host couchsurfers. I met very nice people during my trip so i want to give back what other people gave me. (Arg... ok it sounds cheesy! But still true!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I join CS 4 years ago when i travelled upon Romania and Moldova to meet a friend. That were very good experiences, some beers and some cooking recipes.
Since this time i did CS a few time with friends for week-end in Belgium or in England, and recently in Sweden, Danemark, Germany. I never host for now, so i'm very curious to meet couchsurfers as a host and not as a guest.

Interests

I like artistics shows especially theater and circus, but i also like to see dance shows. Music aso.
I discovered wwooffing, so farming, growing organics vegetables, permaculture...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Every kind of music, it really depends of the artist. Those days i listen to Sam Amidon, Jose Gonzalez, Junip, Fleet Foxes, Devendra Banhart, Sigur Ròs, Mum, Simon and Garfunkel, Angus and Julia Stone, ....

Films: The Ken Loach movies, Jacques Demy's movies, Wong Kar Wai's movies, shorts films, etc.

It's difficult to make a list, it depens of the mood of the day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ireland. In the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a storm. I slept in an abandon truck in front of a beach under the rain, after had spending the evening in an irish pub in the corner of a fire, telling storie and drinking warm whiskey to warm itself from the storm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make crepes from Bretagne. I can teach stuff to do on In Design, Illustrator. I can teach you how to make a box with paper, i can teach sailors knots, sailors songs. I can tell sailors stories!

I would like to know more about growing fruits and vegetables or how to take care of plants when you live in a city. I'm happy to discover and learn everything that you know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tea, coffee, cooking, beds, nice walks in the city, nice bars, meeting my friends.
I have to work but i may not be super available to go out everytime, but i will manage to try to show you good areas near Rennes. I lived in Rennes for 4 years so i know the city and the area quite well. I also have a car so if i have time, why not going to the sea or to the countryside.
I would prefer to host people who are independant to manage their stay by themselve. I can't be a touristic guide everyday but i can try to be as free as i can to spend time with you. :)
