ABOUT ME

I left home when I was 18 because of a difficult relationship with my parents. It wasn't easy, but I tried to stay positive and always managed to find my way, though sometimes I needed a gps... :-)
I am coming out of a long relationship, so my current mission is doing things MY way!
I am renovating my house, changing colors and throwing lots of stuff away, cleaning up in every possible way!
I must admit that becoming 30 hit me pretty hard; I realised that NOW is the time. I've learned that the only person who can make you happy is yourself, and that everything you need lies within yourself. Now I try to live that theory, sometimes even with success... :-)
I still don't know where I am going, but I try to enjoy every step on the way. I have an endless list of places I want to visit, of things I want to do, and I hope I live long enough to learn, learn and learn.
I sometimes feel like a child, and I hope I never have to grow up! :)
I am a girly girl; purple is my favorite color and I have a soft spot for hearts. I don't know exactly when I started collecting them, but since word got out all my friends are noticing hearts everywhere and my collection is growing fast! :-)

PHILOSOPHY

"Live like it is your last day on earth, dance like nobody is watching and love like you have never been hurt before..."
Treat people around you as you would like to be treated. Life is a constant lesson, you get confronted with yourself everytime you meet somebody, everytime you have a bad experience. I try to see the little things. A situation can get really uggly, but there's also always a good thing that happend that day, no matter how tiny it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend told me about couchsurfing. He was thrilled about his experiences. I am a total newbie, but it seems such a nice way to travel and get to know interesting people from around the world. I am looking forward to host you in Antwerp or surf your couch!

Interests

I am addicted to dark chocolate, I go fully insane when it starts snowing, I hug a tree once in a while...
I like going to festivals in the summer to dance, play and act crazy with my friends.
I have a mild fetish for hide and seek: when we are at a friends place and someone goes to the toilet, I make everybody hide behind the couch, so the person coming back finds he is suddenly alone... :-)
I love to: live, love, laugh, dance, travel, act crazy, play hide and seek, swimm, sport, watch movies under a blanket, take long walks in the woods, go out with my friends, just lay in the grass and look at the sky, roses, spinning (with pois), bowling, horse riding, animals! (especially my cat), snorkle,...

Music depends on what mood I am in, but when I go out, I mainly go to goa trance parties. Dancing to trance I can really loose myself and let go...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydive
hiked dowm the grand canyon in 3 days. the day after I took a helicopterflight over it and saw the beauty of it from up in the sky.
I went swimming in a hidden cave in mexico, the water was so pure and clear that it made my terrible headache go away!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to try everything and be good at everything but my impatience sabotages me! But in the end its also nice to know a little bit of everything, right?? :)
